Philips Van Campen Taylor Scholarship Award, sponsored by the Coast Guard Combat Veterans Association, make one (1) two thousand dollar ($2000.00) scholarship award each year for academic excellance in the disciplines of Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM).

The applcant must be 17-19 years of age, possess a 3.9 GPA (4.0 scale) and have a blood relative who is an current member (in good standing) of the Coast Guard Combat Associations Association.  The applicant must also be pursuing a 4-year or greater degree in the academic Sciences, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM).  This scholoarship is needs based. The applicant must show a financial need.

The applicant will provide two letters of recommendation from teacher, religious leader, etc.  Proof of GPA shall be on official school stationary and the applicant will provide a photograph and a short biography with a summary of personal career goals in the area of study selected.
